Booking terms
Last updated 29 October 2026
These terms apply to all bookings with LDNPAWS. They're written in plain English to keep things clear and fair for you, your pets and us. By confirming a booking, you agree to them.
1. Our services
We offer dog walking, pop-in visits, overnight pet sitting in your home and pet taxi trips. We don't board pets in our own home. Current prices are listed on our website.
2. Free meet & greet
Before your first booking we'll visit for a free meet & greet. We'll meet your pet, go through their routine, complete our client form and collect keys. We may decline a booking if we don't feel we can care for a pet safely.
3. Booking
A booking is confirmed once we've agreed it in writing, by message or email. Please book holiday cover as early as possible, as Christmas, New Year and school holidays get busy.
4. Prices
You'll pay the price agreed at the time of booking. Bank holidays, 25 and 26 December and 1 January are charged at +50%. A travel fee may apply outside our usual areas, and we'll always agree it with you first.
5. Payment
- You can pay by bank transfer, card or cash.
- Regular walks and visits are invoiced weekly, with payment due within 3 days.
- Pet sits need a 50% deposit to confirm the booking, with the balance due before the start date.
- Cash is paid on the day of the service, and we'll give you a receipt.
6. Cancellations
- Walks and visits: cancel with at least 24 hours' notice and there's no charge. With less than 24 hours' notice, the full price is payable.
- Pet sits: your deposit is refunded if you cancel with 7 or more days' notice. With less than 7 days' notice, the deposit is kept.
- If we have to cancel, we'll tell you as soon as possible and give you a full refund for anything you've paid for that booking.
7. Your pet's health
You confirm that your pet is up to date with vaccinations and flea and worm treatment, and doesn't have any contagious illness. Please tell us about any medical conditions or medication. Dogs in season will only be walked on solo walks.
8. Emergencies and vet costs
If your pet becomes ill or injured, we'll contact you first, then your emergency contact. If we can't reach anyone, we'll take your pet to your vet or the nearest emergency vet and act on the consent you gave on our client form. All vet costs are the owner's responsibility.
9. Behaviour
Please tell us about any history of biting, aggression, escaping or reactivity. The owner remains responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet where this wasn't disclosed to us.
10. Off-lead and group walks
Dogs are only let off lead, or walked with other dogs, if you've given written consent. Group walks are a maximum of 4 dogs.
11. Weather and safety
In extreme heat, storms, fireworks or other unsafe conditions, we may shorten a walk or switch to a home visit instead, at the same price. Your pet's safety always comes first.
12. Keys and home access
Keys are labelled with a code, never your name or address, and stored securely. They're covered by our key cover insurance, and any key we lose will be replaced at our cost. Access details are kept private. Keys are returned at the end of our arrangement, or regular clients can leave a set with us free of charge.
13. Insurance and liability
LDNPAWS holds public liability insurance and takes every reasonable care of your pet and your home. We're not liable for illness, injury or loss that happens despite reasonable care, or that results from a condition or behaviour that wasn't disclosed to us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
14. Late returns
If you return later than planned without letting us know, any extra visits or nights will be charged at the normal rate. We'll keep caring for your pet until you're home.
15. Photos
We'll send you photo updates as part of the service. We'll only share photos of your pet publicly, for example on Instagram, if you've given consent. We never share names or addresses. See our privacy policy.
16. Complaints
If anything isn't right, please tell us at hello@ldnpaws.com and we'll do our best to put it right quickly.
17. Changes and law
We may update these terms with 14 days' notice. Changes won't affect bookings already confirmed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
